Encoder Pro Expert - Ensure Accurate Coding!
All Connections health centers have licenses for Encoder Pro Expert Online purchased using funds from the HCCN grant. Using this product can help to assure accurate coding and understanding of the ICD-10 code set for the October 1st implementation date and moving forward.

Optum has spent over 5 years developing this content including the mapping functionality. Their clinical team has found more precise ICD-10 choices than just the CMS GEMS. Click the link below to read more about the product. Contact Susan Wood for login information.

EHR Incentive Program Realignment:  Final Ruling Expected Soon
In April, CMS released a Notice of Proposed Rule Making "to align Stage 1 and Stage 2 objectives and measures with the long-term proposals for Stage 3, to build progress toward program milestones, to reduce complexity, and to simplify providers' reporting." The comment period ended in June and the final ruling is expected any day.

The HCCN Grant Project team tentatively plans to host a webinar on October 13th, 12:00-1:00pm to review the specific changes in final ruling. Invitations to this webinar will be sent as soon as a final ruling is announced by CMS.
