 2. Subdivision Regulations

 3. Comprehensive Plan

 4. Site Availability Brochure

5. Economic Development Brochure

Other features of the website include; a "New Development Corner", which  provides updates on current projects, a"Blog" and "Contact" link to enable the public and business community to ability to forward their comments, ideas, inquiries and plans electronically to the Village, and a "Business Climate" page which highlights the Village's prominent location and features.

The website has also been designed to be an economic resource for developers, small business owners, and resident's so that they can have direct access to various types of local, state and Federal economic incentive programs, including the Illinois Small Business Development Center, Lake County Partners, McHenry County of Economic Development Resources, and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

Long Range Planning and the Village's Comprehensive Plan

The Village's Comprehensive Plan, which was approved by the Village Board earlier this year, is a public document that establishes an overall strategy to guide the growth and development of the community. It is a policy statement aimed at the unified and coordinated physical and social development of Lakemoor and it sets forth strategies for its implementation. At this time, the following action items are underway:

1. Revising the zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations,

2. Acquiring additional land to expand Morrison/Lilly Lake Park and Peterson Park

4. Evaluate new standards for efficient street designs.

5. Marketing the Village's three key commercial nodes.

6. Preparing a Request for Proposal for a market feasibility study for the new town center

Village Branding and Marketing Efforts
The Village is in the process of making some minor modifications to the new logo, which should be unveiled by the end of the year to help redefine and brand the community. A new marketing flyer (see top of page) has also been developed and will be included in the Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce Map. Lastly, the McHenry County Magazine will also be doing a feature on the Village' Comprehensive Plan and future town center.
Expansion to Morrison Park
One of the Village's goal is to create a network of interconnected open space, woodlands, water resources, high quality agricultural land and other natural resources, which are important elements  to Lakemoor and provide multiple benefits to its residents. In an effort to achieve this goal, the Village recent acquired 10 acres (7 acres of water + 3 acres of land) at the northwest corner of Lilly Lake. This acquisition will protect open space, expanding the public's access around the lake, and preserve the existing Romanesque tower, which is a historic landmark feature for the Village.

Expansion to Peterson Park
The Village also acquired, at county auction, three parcels of land that are contiguous to Peterson Park. Peterson Park is a 5.5 acre park that is located at the end of Lakeview Drive. Over the next year the Village will begin the process of developing a plan to make the park more accessible and function.
