Message From the Village President
Dear Friends & Neighbors,
It is our priority to give our residents and businesses the best possible municipal services. Communication is a vital role of our Village government.
The Village of Lakemoor has initiated this pilot program to better communicate with the community. Your input is important to us. Please let us know what you think of this service. Comments can be sent to villagehall@lakemoor.net
As always, it's a pleasure working for you.

Lakemoor Police Department
The blizzard of 2011 pointed out a need for a four wheel drive emergency response vehicle here in the Village. While there is police pricing on Ford Expeditions, the total package price, completely outfitted for police service would have been in the $35,000 dollar range. Chief Kushner contacted the Law Enforcement Support Office of the Department of Defense, and obtained a military surplus HMMV (Hummer) at NO COST to the Village. The vehicle was located in Springfield Illinois. Chief Kushner arranged for relocation of the Hummer to Lakemoor at NO COST to the Village. We found that the only thing this vehicle needed was an alternator and belts. The Chief contacted the alternator manufacturer, who DONATED the alternator to the Village; unfortunately, the Village did have to pay for the fan belts which cost $62.30. Yes, that figure was $62.30. The paint, graphics, and emergency equipment on the Hummer were donated by Squad Works in Round Lake Park Illinois. The Hummer will be used for truck weight enforcement, parades, and inclement weather patrol, as well as off road rescue, should that ever become necessary. |

Lakemoor Fest
August 12th, 13th & 14th
We Need Your Help

Lakemoor Fest is our annual, weekend long festival celebrating our community and it brings families together. The highlight of the festival is the fireworks show over Lily Lake.
Unfortunately, Lakemoor isn't the only Village that has faced cuts to its festival budget. The rising costs of fireworks has caused the Village to look for other sources of revenue to avoid reducing its fireworks display, shortening the event or outright cancelling the festival.
If you can afford it, please donate and help us keep the best fireworks show in the Chicagoland area.
