Low Cost Animal Pet Care Clinic

The Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center's Animal Care and Control Program is providing two opportunities in April for pet owners to bring their dogs and cats to low-cost pet vaccination clinics. Each clinic is held from 9 a.m. until noon.

Additional Service to be added for Pace Bus Route 571 - Zion

  pace Starting Sunday, April 6, Pace Bus Route 571 will add new weekday trips between 23rd/Gabriel and Waukegan, in order to provide service every 30 minutes all day.  New evening and weekend trips and Sunday service hours will also be added. See Details

Lake County Announces 2014 Construction Program
 2014 will again be another extremely busy construction season. The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will continue with its multiple projects already underway and start a number of new reconstruction and widening projects, intersection 
improvements, resurfacing projects, and several  pedestrian/bike path projects this year. Learn more

Road Construction Sign Washington Street to Close for Four Months
The Lake County Division of Transportation will be closing Washington Street to through traffic from Cedar Lake Rd., to Hainesville Rd., on March 31 at 6 a.m. and will reopen four months later. For additional information regarding this project please visit washingtonstreetinfo.com.  
 
Detour Route: Cedar Lake Road, to IL Route 134 to IL Route 120 to Hainesville Rd.

Illinois Senate Committee Passes Standards of Conduct Legislation
Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor recently provided testimony to the Illinois Senate Local Government Committee supporting proposed Standards of Conduct Legislation (Senate Bill 3552) that aims to enhance transparency, responsibility and accountability of appointed government bodies, and create consistent standards for appointees across all counties.
