Problem-Solving Courts in Lake County

Nineteenth Judicial Circuit currently has three Problem-Solving Courts - Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and the newest addition Veterans Court. The mission of the program is to reduce crime, enhance public safety, and reduce jail populations by rehabilitating offenders and providing treatment for the underlying problems of their criminal behavior. Watch this video to learn more about Lake County's Problem-Solving Courts, and hear first-hand accounts of some of the amazing success stories.

Citizens Police Academy

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for the semi-annual Citizens Police Academy. The course is free to Lake County residents, and is offered to provide insight into the Sheriff's Office and the judicial process. The academy is scheduled for Thursday evenings (6:30 - 9:30) April 3 - June 5. More information on the Lake County Sheriff's Facebook Page
