Kringle's Kingdom Offers Holiday Sights in Zion
"Kringle's Kingdom" is a unique collection of more than 75 holiday displays, many animated with characters larger than life, arranged along a path and separated by groupings of lighted evergreen trees. Meander along the path and stop to peak inside the display boxes.
The attraction has drawn attention at the state level. Jen Hoelzle, deputy director for the Illinois Office of Tourism, will visit Kringle's Kingdom on Dec. 18 as part of a tour of the area.
Open Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 30, 5-9 p.m. three blocks east of Sheridan Road at the end of 27th Street in Zion. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (55+) and $6 for children. Tours are available at special rates.
Visit the Kringle's Kingdom website for more information
or watch a video from the Lake County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

If you are struggling to find the right gift for friends and loved ones this holiday season, it may be time to think about emergency preparedness. The Lake County Emergency Management Agency and the Health Department have gift ideas that can help keep your friends and loved ones safe in case of emergency situations, such as an emergency radio, a winter weather survival kit or smoke detectors.
