Notes from the Programmers

The long-awaited Traffic Version 9.1 is almost here. We will be starting our Beta Testing this month and after the completion of 3 months of beta testing it will be ready for general release. This version of traffic will be our first 100% Microsoft .NET-designed system for faster daily functionality and quicker fix and update releases. Along with the new Log Editor that was featured in the July/August 2013 Allegiance Live here are some more enhancements you can look forward to in this version. 

• The Traffic Main Menu now includes a new Favorite, called Allegiance Warning Messages, which can be used to notify you of software updates. 
• Additional Security options have been added for nearly every section in the Traffic system. 
• The Work with Released Spots feature has been enhanced; automated rescheduling of Released spots may now be done on individual flights as well as all flights with Released spots. 
• All printing is now done directly to a PDF, via an integrated PDF maker. 
• Many of the grids now have: 
• A filter row; this allows users to filter rows by any desired criteria. 
• Right click menu options for easy access. 
• Excel export capability. 
• A Field Chooser, which allows you to select or hide columns for display. 
• A new floating window called the Library Picker has been added to the system that allows you to display Library Records/Scripts, Released spots, Bumped spots, Fillers, and Programs. This window may be undocked from the Log window, and may be used to create or assign library records when using the Log Editor, UW Grid, or the Break and Spot Edit features. 
• Newly-redesigned Underwriting lookup screen which saves a list of recently-accessed accounts. 
• Enhanced features for emailing the main contact from an account screen. Emails may now include attachments, and may be assigned an Activity Code for the email to be saved to the account as an Activity Record. 
• Redesign of Contract History tab, with the ability to select what type of chart to display. 
• Sales Exec splits have been introduced; you may now assign more than one sales exec to a contract, and indicate the relative percentage of "credit" for the sale that each rep should receive. 
• The Flight Maintenance tab on the Flight screen now offers a Wks (Weeks) field that may be used with a pre-entered Begin Date, in order to have the system calculate the End Date automatically. 
• The Pick Spots interface may now be undocked from the Spot Placement tab, and now defaults to displaying a full week of spot availabilities; this also includes left and right arrows to navigate between days/weeks. 
• Credit cards can now be processed through a Sage Exchange or Element gateway. 
• Agencies can now be invoiced electronically via a third-party data clearinghouse.
• A new Company Name Discrepancy Report has been added. This report is intended to help ensure that the Business at Address information is correct for all person records on each account. 
• The Analysis Reports now include additional segmentation fields for use in your user-built analysis reports.

Beta Stations
Before we release any major upgrade, we need to put the products through a thorough testing process, and a big part of that testing falls into the hands of your colleagues, our Beta stations. We especially thank the following stations that agreed to take on testing Allegiance Traffic V9.1:

Using the Transaction Summary, you can pull up a list of all financial transactions affecting your clients in a given accounting period, range of accounting periods, or date range.

If your station has the Expanded Premium Module, you can quickly add shipping and delivery information for premiums right from Data Entry. You can also change the recipient of a premium at the donor's request or keep a record of premiums that might have been returned to the station.
