Notes from the Programmers
| Throughout the past year, we've been working hard to create upgrades and changes to include in our latest Traffic release: Version 9.1. When deciding which changes to make, we review what our clients request most to ensure it will benefit the most users. Read New Feedback Forum below for more on this.
One such change is the all new Log Editor. This encompasses features from several screens that in the past were used to update and edit log information. By combining features from the old Log Editor, the Manual Placement/Place One Spot Type, the Edit Log Mode, and the UW Grid screens, we have come up with what we think is a comprehensive way for you to complete your log editing tasks in a quick and efficient manner.
By giving you the features from the Log Editor screen and allowing you to filter the columns, you will be able to quickly narrow your scope and view just the spots you are looking for. For example: you can easily look in the Log Editor for a date and limit your view to just the underwriting spots that are not yet filled. You can then simply drag and drop released spots, filler scripts, or whatever you need to get your logs completed and ready to air.
You can span more than one day by selecting a date range (like the spot listing report) to look for spots of a specific type or from a specific underwriter. You can see when their spots will air over a few days, a week, etc., simply by picking the date range. This allows you to make more intuitive choices when adding or rearranging underwriting spots.
You can move spots around, and pull in Released and Bumped spots as easily as a drag-and-drop, like you do in the existing Log Editor.
In the multiple-day view of the editor, you can see days similar to the UW Grid. Here you can easily drag and drop spots into different days. This makes the job of moving spots around a very visual and easy way to complete your editing tasks.
With enhanced filtering and sorting, it will be easy for you to drill down to see only the information needed to get your tasks done and your logs filled.
We are excited to bring you this new enhanced Log Editor. We think that by combining the features of four different screens into one concise display, that your editing will now be quicker and easier. |

 New Feedback Forum
|
Help us build a better system by submitting your requests in our User Forum! As mentioned earlier, we add features and enhancements based on requests we receive from our users. Those that are requested most are moved to the top of the priority list.
Now you can submit your requests in our User Forum. We've added a new Forum called Feedback under each product category in our User Forum. This will give you the opportunity to collaborate with other users to make a case for your suggestion and help us understand how the change should be implemented. Just go to the Feedback forum under the product category and click on the Suggest a New Feature button in the right column. The new forum is much easier to navigate, is organized by product, and has a search function to help you find what you need. You'll find these Forums under each of our product categories:
