Notes from the Programmers
|
Fundraising Version 9.1 is here - at least for some of you! We will be rolling this version out over the next month or so. We've sent an email with a link to download Version 9.1 to about 20 stations and then in about two weeks we'll be sending it to an additional 20 stations. After that it will be released to most other stations. The reason we are rolling this version out in phases is twofold. First, it will reduce the load on support, reducing wait times for regular support calls. Second, if by chance there are some issues that were not identified in beta or our in-house testing, it gives us a chance to fix it before everyone has the new version.
If you have the Web module, you will need to schedule your upgrade with Joni to make sure we have someone available to upgrade your website at the same time you upgrade your database. If you have a combined Traffic and Fundraising database, you will have to wait until Traffic Version 9.1 will be released later this year. If you are not currently on Version 9.0, you will need to upgrade to Version 9.0 before upgrading to Version 9.1. If you need assistance with upgrading to Version 9.0 please contact support.
Auction is all new in Version 9.1! The Fundraising programs were converted to .NET starting in Version 8.6.3 and finished in Version 9.0. Now it is Auction's turn. In Version 9.1, Auction will be 100% .Net. There is a new look and feel similar to the Fundraising system. We hope you like what you see!
There are many enhancements in this release. Many of these enhancements were added in response to client request. Please review the enhancement list here to see a brief description of all the changes.
All of our software update news and release notes are now posted on our new and improved user forum. Be sure to see the article below to learn how you can sign up. Please keep the ideas coming as work on Version 9.2 will be starting soon!
