Happy New Year to all of you! We, at Allegiance, hope you have a prosperous year. Thank you for letting us be a part of it.
This year, we feel we've got some exciting things on the horizon. Kicking off this year, we will bring you a new schedule of Fundraising system webinars. As part of your annual support cost, you will gain access to all of these webinar sessions. Watch your inbox for more information.
Additionally this first quarter, we will be working with our Beta stations to test the release of Allegiance Fundraising V9.1; a completely Microsoft .NET designed system for faster daily functionality and quicker fix and update releases.
Thank You Beta Stations Before we release any major upgrade, we need to put the products through a thorough testing process. And a big part of that testing falls into the hands of your colleagues: our Beta stations. Thank you to all organizations willing to offer their donor databases to help us ensure this release works smoothly in a real world setting. We especially thank the following stations that volunteered and were chosen to take on testing Allegiance Fundraising V9.1.
- Friends of KSPS - Spokane, WA
- Friends of Iowa Public TV - Johnston, IA
- KBYU - Provo, UT
- KEET - Eureka, CA
Big Changes to Tracking Activities The Allegiance Fundraising V9.1 release is packed with enhancements. However, we wanted to note specific changes happening to the Activities section.
- Quickly assign and send a notice of a new activity using new "Assignee Fields".
- Currently, an activity is connected to an account. With V9.1 you will have the ability to attach activity information to a pledge, payment, People Record or transaction, making it easy to pinpoint interaction with donors.
- Contact information associated with the activity will be readily available on the record, making it easy for the person assigned to the activity to reach out to the donor or prospect.
- Update staff on progress by adding sequential notes to the record. The Notes section allows you to easily see when a note was added or updated and by whom.
- Currently, you have the ability to custom create Activity Codes which identify a specific activity. With V9.1, you will have the ability to categorize those codes into Activity Types. Use these new fields to identify specific types of interactions with donors to fully see the depth of their relationships with you.
- If you have the Web module, you will also have the ability to create, assign and track activities via a Web link. Use this Web link in a Question Record for your pledge pages and confirmation scripts.
A training webinar and user guides for using these new features will be available after the release in May 2013.
Questions and Feedback In next month's article, we will provide details on enhancements to the Web module. Additionally, watch for announcements on webinars and training tools to get better understanding of Fundraising V9.1. If you have any questions or comments, please contact support.
