Notes from the Programmers |
Reminder: Allegiance Fundraising V9.1 is Coming Soon! With programming enhancements and changes finished, internal testing done and Beta station use in full swing, Allegiance Fundraising V9.1 is on course for delivery to all clients by May 2013. As with all releases, we try to design upgrades with your input in mind, and this version is no different. As illustrated in last month's issue, you will see big changes to tracking your organization's customer service activities. This month, we want to highlight the biggest changes to the Web module. Web Module Takes on New Look and Features Here's a sampling of the changes made to the Web Module in Fundraising V9.1
- After lots of feedback from our users, our programming team has adjusted the layout of the verification screens in the transaction bin to create a better flow for transaction versus existing account comparisons.
- We've added the ability for a donor to check a box on a pledge page indicating whether or not he or she would like to pick up his or her premium rather than having it sent to them. If this option is selected, the item will be placed on hold in the shipping panel.
- With more and more customers using question records to add more personalization to confirmation emails, we've added the ability to use merge fields in those records.
- To add more excitement to tracking progress towards a goal, we've added a thermometer feature that links directly to your organization's campaign tracker. An easy to use setup process will automatically create HTML code that can be placed on your public website. Visitors to your site will see, in real-time, your campaign's progress.
- Currently, email response pledge pages give you the ability to auto-populate donor contact information and add gift detail. In V9.1, we've made the personalization even better by giving you the ability to display giving ladders based on the individual donor's giving history.
- We've heard that often donors will stop by your organization, especially during a pledge drive, to collect their premium rather than wait to have it sent. To make fulfillment tracking easier, we added the ability to add label dates from the transaction bin.
- For many organizations, fund codes are used to indicate the donor's preferred use of his or her pledge. These designations are indicated with a three-character code on the pledge record. Those codes don't necessarily make sense to a donor, but the code descriptions do. So we've added the ability to display the Fund Code descriptions on confirmation pages and emails rather than the code itself.
Again, these are only a few enhancements made to the Web module in Fundraising V9.1. Please watch your inbox or our website for a complete list of changes made to the entire system.
