Greetings from your friendly library liaison! While the academic year is still in its infancy I can report that Matt and I have already been busy identifying new acquisitions to support the teaching and research mission of the department. The annual acquisition budget for the philosophy department is $4050, of which approximately $1,000 has already been spent. Among the recently purchased items is a relatively new translation of Thomas' Summa.
The buzz surrounding the publication by USC press of the Encyclopedia of Hinduism (2013) led me to wonder if South Asian philosophy is an area of interest for the department. As liaison, I've received a few inquires from publishers on this topic. If this is an area of interest please let Matt or I know.
Have a great fall.
