September 2013

Hello Faculty,

Welcome back, I hope everyone's semester is off to a great start. The big news from Educational Films is that over the summer we moved, we are now in Room 302. We are still on the Level 3 of the Library but we are now right next to the elevators, come on by when you are in the library and see our new offices.

Remember if there are any films that you would like to show in class this semester to let me know so that I can book them and make sure they are available for the dates that you would like to use them. Also, if there are any films that you would like your students to watch to let me know and I can place them on reserve for the semester.

I am excited to be working with you again this semester and please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your students to make this an enjoyable semester.

Streaming Video

Ethnographic Video Online

At the end of the Spring semester we were able to add three streaming video databases to our collection. Since it is the beginning of the semester I wanted to reintroduce them to you, if you have any questions please let me know. Films from these databases can be show in class and links can be placed in Blackboard. There are several films in both Black Studies in Video and Ethnographic Video Online that we already have in our collection so please think of using these databases as another way of making films that you show in class available to your students.
