Hello Faculty,
This will be the last newsletter until August, I hope you had a good semester and were able to work some of the new films we got this year into your classes. Along with this last new list of films I wanted to let you know about two new streaming video databases we added to our collection within the last month. There are a lot of good films in both, some of which we already have in our collection and you may use, and let me know what you think. Black Studies in Video - In partnership with California Newsreel, the database provides unique access to their African American Classics collection, and includes films covering history, politics, art and culture, family structure, social and economic pressures, and gender relations. Ethnographic Video Online, Volume I - The collection covers every region of the world and features the work of many of the most influential documentary filmmakers of the 20th century, including interviews, previously unreleased raw footage, field notes, study guides, and more. Have a great summer and I'll see you in August, Amy |
