"Life goes on,
you've got to live."

William as he prepares to depart Cross Roads House.

William had been living with his son and daughter-in-law in Maine but when they broke up, William continued to live with his daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. "I was paying [my daughter-in-law] the rent, but she wasn't paying the rent. She was taking the money and doing something else with it. That's how I ended up at Cross Roads House."

When 70 year old William arrived at Cross Roads House, he was receiving Social Security Income, but his daughter-in-law was the only person who could access the funds. He had health insurance from two different states, neither of which were valid in New Hampshire. He also needed to attend dialysis three days a week, as well as countless other medical appointments, and had no transportation.

Click here to see our latest print newsletter and read about how William worked with Cross Roads House Case Manager Theresa to gain access to his money, apply for health insurance that he could use in New Hampshire, connect with services in the area, and eventually, find housing.
There is still time to help

With the end of our fiscal year fast approaching on June 30th, Cross Roads House is poised to meet our fundraising goals, but we need your help. There is still time to make a fiscal year end gift to Cross Roads House.

Three quarters of our annual operating budget comes from donors like you. People in the Seacoast area turn to Cross Roads House when they have nowhere else to go. Please help us provide our residents with the life changing opportunity to move from homelessness to stable and decent housing.
