BOCES "Green Machine" Visits Peekskill Middle School 
Students at Peekskill Middle School recently received a visit from Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES' "Green Machine" trailer. The mission of the multi-station, portable classroom is to help teach students about green energies, sustainability and renewable resources. This was the very first time the Green Machine had ventured off BOCES' property since it was constructed by BOCES' students under the supervision of Paul Purpora, a retired research engineer who is now an instructor at BOCES. PHS Seniors Honored at Awards Dinner
Congratulations to Peekskill High School seniors, Karla Hernandez and Sylvia Archampong who were honored for their academic achievements at the Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendent's Carrol F. Johnson Scholastic Achievement Dinner last month. Miss Archampong is graduating summa cum laude and Miss Hernandez is the class of 2013's valedictorian.

PKMS Students Shine at Awards Ceremonies
Peekskill Middle School students were recognized at the school's LEAP Celebration and Grade 8 Award Ceremony, both which took place recently. At the Grade 8 Awards Ceremony, PKMS Principal Dr. David Fine spoke highly of the children's accomplishments this year. "These youngsters on stage have given much with respect to their focus, academic excellence, and seriousness in school," Fine said. "We are proud of their efforts and accomplishments to date."
