Peekskill City School District: Educating Children of Promise
As we return to school after the dramatic impact of last week's hurricane, we at PCSD would like to extend our thanks to those in the community who helped during these tough times, including the Peekskill Police Department, the Peekskill Fire Department,
Peekskill's Buildings and Grounds staff, and all of the city and state employees who worked around the clock so that we may return to normalcy as fast as possible. We also thank our staff and the Peekskill community for their patience and support while the District was closed because of power loss. We hope everyone made it through the storm safely.

Peekskill Middle School Hosts Swim Meet

Girls swim teams from all over the area converged on the Peekskill Middle School pool Saturday, October 27th for Swim Team Sectionals. Congratulations to our girls on their accomplishments! Thanks to Cable TV Program Director Doug Brown and his crew, the races were live-streamed throughout the Middle School and on the Internet.

PHS Students Embrace College Fair

Hundreds of Peekskill High School juniors and seniors are thinking about college, and thanks to the PHS Guidance Department, these students had the opportunity to meet with
representatives from 44 colleges and universities at the school's College Fair. At the fair, spokespersons from these institutions answered the student's questions regarding academic programs, admission applications, financial aid, campus life and more. The schools present at the fair included everything from Ivy League colleges such as Harvard University, to our own "Harvard-on-the-Hudson," Westchester Community College.
Fun & Festivities at Trick-or-treaters Safe Halloween

Children from the community and Peekskill schools got a jump start on Halloween when they gathered in the high school gym to celebrate Safe Halloween on Oct. 27th. The event was sponsored by the PHS Interact Club/Student Council and featured classroom trick-or-treating, games and Halloween crafts. Special thanks goes out to hosts, Allison Risoli and George Goess, who ran the event with the help of student volunteers.

PHS Students Show School Spirit
phs spirit

The gym at Peekskill High School was a sea of red and blue as PHS students showed-off their school pride at the school's Spirit Celebration. Students in each grade took turns performing for their teachers and peers. There was even an appearance
by Spiderman!
