A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Please join us this Saturday April, 26th from noon until 4:00pm at Skansie Park in downtown Gig Harbor for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Lighthouse Time Capsule Project. In 1989 approximately 150 local families and businesses contributed to the construction of the Gig Harbor Lighthouse by purchasing "Time Capsules" and filling them with items to be open in 2014. Those capsules will be opened this Saturday to reveal the items placed in them 25 years ago by members of the Chamber as well as other groups or families that participated.
The Chamber has also purchased another capsule to fill with memorabilia items for opening in 2039. We would love to get your suggestions for what to include in this year's capsule so please forward any suggestions to any the staff members. If your business would like to purchase a capsule and secure it for the next opening in 2039 it's not too late; capsules of various sizes and prices will be available for sale in the park that day. There will be food, live entertainment and our own Jim Borgen providing insightful commentary all day long. So come and be part of the fun as we take a peek at what was so important in 1989 that it had to be placed in a time capsule for all to see in 2014

A night with Gig Harbor's first lady.
Are you an introvert or extrovert?
And hear how Maia Bellon is able to manage the
State's water resources, protect water rights, and the environmental function.
Did you know Gig Harbor's first lady puts on quite a party? This is an event you wont want to miss.
If you're an introvert, you'll learn about how to position your perceived liabilities as assets. If you're an extrovert, prepare to leave with new insights about the introverts in your life

Get Around Gig Harbor Trolley
We are excited to see the Pierce Transit Trolley returning to Gig Harbor for the 2014 summer season! Service runs Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Many of you asked last year about advertising on the trolley and promotional materials. We are happy to report we have some information for you if you are interested.
Pierce Transit's advertising is contracted to Titan Worldwide, who handles all the details of acquiring, negotiating and finalizing the advertising sales for the Agency. Titan has put together an advertising package for this summer's trolley service. If you are interested, please contact Pamela Quadros, Vice President and General Manager of Titan Worldwide. Again, Pierce Transit does not handle the day-to-day advertising and you will have to work with Titan for this opportunity.
