Greetings!
Now, we're getting some cooler weather! It's been just lovely in the evenings, and we've even had our windows opened up all night long so that we can enjoy sleeping to the sound of flowing water. Sighhhhh...
And, speaking of evenings, we want to thank everyone who came out for Happy Hour by the Pond this last Saturday night. We really enjoyed your company, and are so tickled that you would take time to visit with us! Mark you calendars for the next one on Saturday, January 4th -- a little relaxation after the holiday frenzy.

The Temps, They are a Fallin'.
We're still hitting the low 90's during the day, but remember that the water temperature in your feature follows the nighttime temps. We thought we should go ahead and mention that when the water drops below 60F, you should stop feeding your fish commercial fish food. It's too high in protein for their little systems to process in cold weather. However, now would be the time to start training them toward a more natural diet: lettuce, zucchini, melons, oranges (ours are particularly fond of oranges), to name a few. Not only will this keep them healthy and happy during the cold months, but it will keep your water cleaner, too, thus reducing maintenance (always a good thing).
