It is time to celebrate the 238th anniversary of our nation's declaration of independence.  The Town's community bicycle/golf cart parade or annual music and fireworks in Stith Park are excellent opportunities to celebrate our blessings and freedoms with Island friends and family.  Please visit the Town's website for additional news and events.

Town Hall Offices close on Friday, July 4, 2014 for the Independence Day holiday

All offices re-open at
8:00 AM on Monday, 
July 7, 2014

Emergency services will continue through the holiday weekend and those offices will remain fully staffed.

All dogs need permits and need to wear their RED collar and permit tag at all times on the Island. Permits are available at Town Hall (2050 Middle Street) 

M-F, 8AM-5PM.

Fireworks and Music at Stith Park (2050 Middle)
5:30PM Begin gathering at Park. Fireworks at "dusk"
Bring a lawn chair or blanket
 
NOTE: The Town, for pedestrian safety reasons, will alter traffic flow and parking in the Community Commercial District and Stith Park area on July 4th, beginning on or about 5:00PM.  Please obey posted signs and traffic control officers on event day.
