Tomorrow is the inaugural meeting for our newly elected Council members and we hope your schedule allows you to attend. As we welcome Mayor Mike Perkis, Council members Chauncey Clark (new), Susan Middaugh (new) and Pat O'Neil (returning), we bid a sad farewell to Mayor Carl Smith and Council member Madeleine McGee. I am sure you will join Town Staff in giving thanks to Mayor Smith and Council member McGee for their years of selfless service to Sullivan's Island and offer them best wishes for their future. Likewise, we offer best wishes to the new Council as it goes about doing the people's work.
Please consider serving the Town on a board or commission (current vacancies below). Also, if you have not already purchased your fish fry tickets, please do so today. It is a really good meal, at a good price, with good friends for a good cause (more information below). Please visit the Town's website for all news and events. |
