Dear Friends of the PFC:
At this time we would like to share a couple of facilities reminders. The floor entrance to the Gym will be replaced over Spring Break, as well as the flooring in the Snack Shack that services Gym events. In addition, the counters and baseboards will all be replaced in both rooms. Campus bathrooms will be getting a much needed deep cleaning on all levels of the school, broken picnic tables will be removed, and as much cleaning as possible will be done during the break. The school continues on the path to more beautification and all over improvements.
The PFC would like to thank the departments and individuals that sent us thank you cards for the recent purchases we were able to make for the teachers to help the students. We do appreciate the gratitude. Thank you to Principal Foss who worked hand in hand with us to get requests approved and delivered.
Talks for Library improvements are in the works to make the CHS Library/Media Center one that every student will want to use. The team is implementing a plan, budget and anticipating many needs. As technology grows and improves, so must specific departments at our school to keep up with student needs. The administration and PFC are on top of this project.
Many thanks,
Laura Ainsworth

In celebration of World Water Day, Calabasas New Global Citizens will be holding a "Dirty Water Day Pledge" on March 19th and 20th. We are asking CHS students and faculty to carry a bottle of dirty water as a symbol of the challenges that over 850 million people face every day in this search for clean water. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including WAR.
Challenge yourself to carry one of these bottles around for a day and realize the struggles that many African women go through daily, such as walking at least 10 miles every day and being vulnerable to rape and other violent attacks.
We will be selling bottles for a $5 donation that will go towards the Global Women's Water Initiative. GWWI teaches women water, sanitation, and hygiene skills that greatly benefit their communities.
We believe clean water is a natural human right and we are asking you to take the DIRTY WATER DAY CHALLENGE!
The first 100 water bottles will include a PURAVIDA bracelet!!
Bring $5 to school on March 19 and 20th!
