Dear Friends of the PFC:
Thanks to everyone who came to our November PFC meeting. Lots of news from Robin Lutsky our College and Career Advisor, Principal Foss, Asssitant Principal Lauren Young, Peer Support Officers Spencer Hurwitz and Katie Romanovich, as well, as committee reports and boosters. The PFC meetings are a great way to catch up and see what's going on around school now and future plans being considered.
What a great school spirit week it's been leading into our Homecoming Football games tonight. Please join us for our last games of the year, halftime show and final homecoming celebration. Come early for parking and food. The excitement is in the air.
The homecoming dance is Saturday at CHS. The theme is Black Tie. For all the information you may need, check out the CHS website. Remember: "Party Buses" are NOT allowed to park anywhere on campus and must leave immediately after dropping off. CHS has a zero tolerance policy for drinking, drugs or innapropriate behavior so let's make it a positive night to remember.
The school directories were passed out to your student (one per family unless you paid for two) so make sure you received one if you are a PFC member. Thank you to Directory Chair Nancy Yumkas for making it happen again this year. And thanks to Cyndi Bartok for filling in the blanks we left for Nancy.
No school Monday, November 10th and Tuesday, November 11th.
Have a lovely 4 day weekend,
Laura Ainsworth
Lisa Wayne

HEALTH OFFICE INFORMATION
|
Notes From the Health Clerk:
It is recommended that students follow the below recommended practices by the California Department of Public Health for preventing the transmission of Enterovirus and other illnesses:
- Students with flu-like symptoms should stay at home. Flu-like symptoms may include:
- Fever (100 degrees F. or higher) or feverishness
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Body aches
- A feeling of being very tired
- Vomiting or diarrhea
Generally, health officials recommend that individuals who have flu-like symptoms should remain at home and avoid contact with others. They should do so until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever without the use of fever-reducing medicines such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
