Dear Friends of the PFC:
It is not too late to get your student's information included in the CHS PFC Directory. At this time we only have 50% of the students included. If you are not sure if you submitted the directory form during RACI, the attached list reflects all students whose information we have. The last page shows the student's whose parents do not want their information included in the directory. If you would like to include your student in the directory, please click on the link below and fill out the form. You must fill out the form for each student. Forms will be accepted through Wednesday, October 8th. October 1st was the last day of Coyote Connect, our mandatory support for Freshman students and those new to CHS. Thank you to Peer Support for organizing this program to welcome our newest Coyotes! We hope that all of our students take advantage of Support A (7:50am-8:10am) and Support B (8:16am-8:36am) that is offered each Wednesday (Even) and Thursday (Odd).
There have been some questions about our PFC weekly eNewsletter. As the leaders of the PFC, we try to communicate with our families the happenings of our school. We do our best to publish a weekly newsletter and give updates on Facebook as we receive them. We do not have access to update the CHS website with current information since we are not district webmasters. The information that we are able to publish each Friday is information that is provided to us during the week by various booster groups, clubs, and staff. If you have specific questions about what is going on at the school, please contact the front office. Many of us on the Board also work full or part-time and are not on campus to ask the question that you may have. CHS is a very busy place and we will share with you whatever information we have. Thank you for your understanding. We hope to see you at the PFC meeting Monday, October 6th at 930am. The meeting is scheduled to be held in the Lecture Hall. Many thanks, Laura Ainsworth Lisa Wayne PFC Co-Presidents |

R.A.P.
The first R.A.P. session of the year is 10-15-14 at 7 PM in the Calabasas High School Library.
I am thrilled to have Stephanie Bien, LMFTLPCC and Debra Sedley, MFTI join us.
They have captioned the evening : "Helicopter Parenting: How to Circle Without Crashing." I have to say I am looking forward to an energetic, lively discussion. Parenting trends have shifted; kids have changed; the world seems more dangerous. How much is too much? Are we really preparing our children or holding them back?
I hope you make time for this evening; it's topic affects all of us.
There is no charge for the evening but for space considerations, please R.S.V.P. to...
Joey Levin, Health Clerk at Calabasas High School at 818-222-7177 ext 223 or at jlevin@lvusd.org.
Calabasas High School is located at 22855 Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, CA 91302.

PEER SUPPORT TEAM NEWS...
Dear Calabasas High School students and parents,
The Anti-Bullying Assembly Wednesday, October 1st, was a huge success! The Peer Support Team hopes that the CHS student body has a better understanding of the negative effects of bullying and continues to keep CHS a safe and bully-free environment. Thank you to Motivational Speaker David Rivello and CHS Staff Member Michael Yeung for their participation!
Peer Support also met with the City of Calabasas Mayor David Shapiro Wednesday to discuss anti-bullying month and plan joint events between Peer Support and the city.
As a reminder, FRIENDS is open every day at lunch and is a place, where students can relax, hang out with other students, meet new friends, and ask any questions students may have. Peer Support Counselors will also be available in H117 during lunch so feel free to stop by.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
The Calabasas High School Peer Support Team
