ANNOUNCEMENTS
VERY IMPORTANT:  RACI INFORMATION!!

RACI (Registration and Check In) for the 2014-2015 school year will take place Tuesday, August 12th through Friday, August 15th. As usual, the Seniors will start on Tuesday, followed by Juniors, Sophomores and ending with Freshman on Friday. The online re-registration process will open after August 1st.

Please make sure your summer schedule allows for your students to be back for their day at RACI. There will not be a make-up day. Students cannot come on a day OTHER than their grade level.  For your convenience and speed, as well as Administrative organization, we only have that specific grade's materials and schedules on its day.

Students take their pictures and receive their ID cards and must present them to receive their schedules.  Only students can pick up their schedules, parents or friends may not do so for absent students.

Students not processed through RACI will need to come to school early on the first day of school.
On the first day of school, Freshman and new to CHS students will go through RACi first (time TBA but probably around 6:45am), followed by Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores.

RACI arrival times will be posted in random alphabetical order and you are asked not to arrive before your scheduled time. It makes everyone's experience go more smoothly if you have your online work completed and bring your notice of completion to RACI.

Don't forget that the Student Store waives the credit card processing fees during RACI only. It's the best time to join ASB, buy the Yearbook and more!

Before school breaks for this year, go to the online student store and check to make sure you know how to log in (hint you need your student's ID number). Try it out now so it won't be a problem in August.

Off Campus Passes. If you signed an Off Campus Pass for a current Junior, you do not need to come to school to sign it again. Rising Juniors or new to CHS Seniors will need to have a parent signature on their Off Campus Pass (and it can only be signed at school in front of an official representative). Off Campus Passes are a privilege that the Administration controls and along with parents may be granted or revoked at any time.

Parking Permits are available to Seniors ONLY during RACI.  If you are a Junior, do not pay for a parking permit. After school starts, an assessment of available spaces will determine the Junior Parking Permit Raffle.

Thank you for your support. Volunteers for RACI can contact BDavis227@gmail.com

CHS ACTIVITIES

Please join us on Monday, August 18th at 6:00pm for our Back to School Picnic in the upper quad! Please bring your own picnic dinner and dessert will be provided.

Please join us on Thursday, September 4th at 7:00pm for the first Music Booster meeting. Meeting will be held in the Band Room.

Join us on Sunday, September 14th for the 3rd Annual Music Fun Run/Walk/Kids Dash! New flatter course this year! To register, go to www.chsmusic.com

Performing Arts Picnic, Monday, August 18, 6:00 pm - Every year, students with a love of theater, music, and dance get together for fun and to chat about expectations for the new year.  There is sure to be lots of speculation on what the Fall and Spring productions will be, and Mr. Garrett is sure to be there with news.

ComedySportz Tryouts,  Thursday-Friday, August 28, 29  3:00 pm - Think you're funny?  Try out for Calabasas High School's ComedySportz teams - where comedy is a competitive sport.  Throughout the year, you'll be trained in improvisational comedy.  Then participate in head-to-head meets where whoever gets the audience to laugh most goes home with the last laugh.  No experience needed, but you've probably spent your whole life making people laugh, right?

Theater Booster Club meeting, Wednesday September 10  7:00 pm - Theater Boosters are the adults who give their time to help make the Calabasas High School theater program such a great success.  Our productions have been compared favorably to professional regional productions, and that high quality is made possible from the help of our volunteers.  We take tickets, print programs, build sets, raise money - and meet once a month to stay on top of what our theater department is working on.  Join our great group for the first meeting of the year.  We are also seeking volunteers to be our VP Box Office, to head up our Donor Drive, Spring fundraiser, and Cookie Dough fundraiser, and to be our Summer Musical liaison.
