You didn't?
Me either.
Buzzwords like "member value" and "membership ROI" abound in the world of professional, volunteer driven organizations. But what does it all mean?
And more importantly, who cares?
We're a pretty busy bunch, California.
A recent ABC News article stated Americans work more hours "than any other country in the industrialized world."
So add on child care, family commitments, continuing education, that MBA you've been shooting for, founding your own company, and the wondrousness of California traffic and those minutes and seconds of the day just vaporize.
So you need one more thing to do, right?
One more email to read, one more Powerpoint to sit through.
What if the information you wanted was readily available at the time you wanted it?
What if you could be as active a CSPE member as you wanted to be, but could do so from home or from your favorite cafe instead of lugging your laptop bag to yet another conference room after work?
That's where the newly relaunched CSPE Virtual Chapter comes in.
Powered by the 21st century Internet, social media, and time on your terms, the goal is to give you the content and interaction you need at the moment you need it.
We'll have a mix of virtual calls and training content open to all CSPE members that will range from hot topics in the PE world to career development and ways to expand your professional network.
Come check us out at the new site and stay tuned for news and goodies important to the California Engineer, at your desk, or on your mobile device.
The door's open and the water's fine.
See you on the flip side!
