It is with mixed emotion that we announce Kathy Topalian, Rivermont's beloved Mrs. T, will be retiring at the end of this school year. Mrs. T means so much to so many - colleagues, students, parents, and alumni. In her 32 years at Rivermont, Mrs. T has taught over 500 first graders to read and, though she never seeks the spotlight, has been recognized as a recipient of the Golden Apple Award for Exceptional Teaching and the Waterman Chair of Distinguished Teaching.
Please join us in congratulating Kathy on all she has accomplished and wishing her the very best as she begins this new phase of her life. |

Adventures in Creativity: Join Us for Family Art Night!
At Rivermont, while academics are important, we recognize that to develop Intellect, Character, and Creativity, there's more to the equation. Rivermont fosters an environment where self-expression is encouraged and appreciated. From Kindergarten's creation of their own patterns with Pattern & Texture Fish to 8th Grade's three-dimensional Kinetic Sculpture Insects, Rivermont students explore their creative abilities and are challenged to view the world from a variety of perspectives.
