Doin' It With Distinctiveness
Showcasing what sets Rivermont apart

Last Friday, 2nd grade got the opportunity to attend the launch of the Destination: Space exhibit at the Putnam Museum, including making contact with outer space!  Expedition 34 commander Kevin Ford and flight engineer Tom Marshburn, currently aboard the International Space Station, answered questions submitted by students live on the National Geographic Giant Screen.
 Putnam Destination Space
The Putnam was one of six locations chosen by NASA for a video Q&A with the astronauts.  Several Rivermont students were interviewed by CBS 4 News - Grace Gerboth made the air -  "We're only second graders and I'm glad they chose us!"  2nd grade was the youngest group of students to attend - local school groups included up to 9th grade.
