Kindergarteners are geologists this quarter! The class used hand lenses, sifters, and rock baths to see rock's true features, sort rocks, and keep rock records.
1st and 2nd graders are studying the human body and conducted labs to observe which bones move, protect, and support. With their observations, students made comparisons between animal and human bones.
3rd graders are studying plant and animal life cycles and began their first research lab explaining a specific plant's life cycle.
4th graders are learning about plant structures and conducted an experiment to see if celery was a vascular or nonvascular plant. Also, a student brought in a deer heart and students explored the muscles, tissues, and structures.
5th graders are studying cell structures and their functions. Students recreated mitosis using a jello mold, household items, and small foods.
