Hat Day

We are sad to announce that Sue Buck, Middle & Upper School math faculty, has turned in her resignation due to medical reasons.  As much as Sue hoped to finish the school year, her doctor has advised her to stop working and focus on her health.

Sue joined us in 1988 while we were still St. Katharine's-St. Mark's.  In 1998, she took time off to raise her children and start a math tutoring business.  Sue rejoined us in 2008 and has led our math department to new heights.  Besides being a fantastic math teacher, Sue brought rhythm to the hearts of students with her amazing drumming ability and laughter to all with her great sense of humor.

Sue's last day is expected to be November 30th.  Please join us in thanking her for all she has given to Rivermont and wishing her health and happiness in her future endeavors.

Doin' It With Distinctiveness
Showcasing what sets Rivermont apart

The Student Hunger Drive results are in and we are ecstatic to announce that Rivermont won our division and are the recipients of $2,500 seed money for next year's drive!  Rivermont brought in 13,634 pounds of food - a 10.8% increase over last year.  This amounts to 378.7 pounds per student and a value of over $7,800.
Student Hunger Drive Loading Day
Students organized events including Wild Wednesdays, the Pancake Breakfast, and the Can Sculpture Contest to raise food for the drive.  A BIG thank you to everyone who sent food donations with their child, joined us for pancakes, and in many other ways supported Rivermont in the Student Hunger Drive.  This is just another example of the character of Rivermont students and their ability and desire to engage in the community!
