Deadline Approaching for CCCG
The informational flier and registration form are posted on the the conference website for the Creating Congregational Cultures of Generosity workshop. We have also included the registration form for the Winter Rendezvous meetings, as they coincide with the CCCG event. Keep in mind that the pastor and one finance or stewardship person from each church will have their transportation and registration cost covered to attend the CCCG event. More lay members are encouraged to attend if they are able but their transportation costs would not be covered. We want to thank the Tuell Center again for their generosity for making this event possible. The CCCG event will be held at UMC of Chugiak on February 18-19, 2016. The registration deadline is January 31st. |

A Call to Action for All Children! This downloadable report provides statistics on the issue of AIDS and children and adolescents along with goals set for 2015. It can be used with small groups or for mission moments in your local church publications. This snapshot illustrates what some of the key AIDS organizations are doing to reduce the spread of AIDS by protection, care and support services. It was compiled by UNICEF, USAID, PEPFAR, The World Bank, UNAIDS and The Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS.
At A Glance - The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) collects data for the United States on various diseases including HIV & AIDS. This particular webpage provides information by risk group and race/ethnicity. More than 1.2 million people in the United States are living with HIV infection, and almost 1 in 8 (12.8%) are unaware of their infection. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM), particularly young African American MSM, are most seriously affected by HIV. By race, African Americans face the most severe burden of HIV.
