New Day Alaska Neighborhood BBQ New Day Alaska is hosting a neighborhood BBQ in the Airport Heights area of Anchorage and are using the parking lot at Anchor Park UMC. If you are in the Anchorage area, please plan on coming to enjoy good food and great fellowship! It will be held this Thursday, May 29th from 5-7 PM. For those of you attending pre-conference workshops, please stay and join the fun!

Imagine No Malaria 5K Fun Run/Walk
Run or walk a 5K for fun and fitness. Better yet, do it for a great cause! Help eliminate malaria from the face of the planet. Open to all ages. Suggested participant fee of $15/adult and $5/child. Rummage Sale
June 14th, 2014 in the Gym of First United Methodist Church on 9th Ave.
9am to 1pm / 12pm-1pm (bag sale)
Money raised will go to the Local Ministry account, ie. Hungry Tummies, Brother Francis sandwich making, etc.
We'll also be serving complimentary coffee, cookies and lemonade with donations for Imagine No Malaria.
We will be taking donations of clothes, household items, shoes, baby stuff, etc, (please no big items) the week prior to sale, June 8-13; call First Church office at 272-2112 for drop off times.

Vehicle Needed for One Year
Girdwood Chapel is looking for a vehicle for their incoming pastor to use for the year that she is here. She will be a resident in Girdwood so a car which can safely travel to and from Anchorage is necessary. If you have a vehicle she can use or know of someone who does, please contact the conference office at [email protected] or 333-5050. |
