Grace Always,

Annual Conference Information
Deadlines are quickly approaching for various things related to Annual Conference.  Please make sure you don't miss anything!

***It was brought to my attention that in the pre-conference handbook the time listed for the Imagine No Malaria workshop on the Tentative Schedule was different than all the other places it is listed.  I want to confirm that it is scheduled for 3:30-5 PM on Thursday, May 29th at Anchor Park UMC.

Bishop Hagiya has a challenge for you!  Watch it here!
  • NEED some child care workers for up to 7 children (paid position)!
  • NEED HOMES for 8 delegates and clergy to stay in while in town!
  • NEED TRANSPORTATION for 7 people!
  • REGISTRAITON: If you want to pay by check and fill out a hard copy, this form is for you.  If you want to register online and pay by credit card, this link is for you. (due May 19) Registration is required
  • Display Request  (due May 15)
  • PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS (descriptions & non-delegate registration)
If you are able to help with any of these requests, please contact the conference office at 333-5050 or [email protected].  Thanks!

car-front-icon.gif Vehicle Needed for One Year

Girdwood Chapel is looking for a vehicle for their incoming pastor to use for the year that she is here.  She will be a resident in Girdwood so a car which can safely travel to and from Anchorage is necessary.  If you have a vehicle she can use or know of someone who does, please contact the conference office at [email protected] or 333-5050.

MissionInsite Workshop
For those that have signed up for the MissionInsite pre-conference workshop, you can find some documents we will be going over on the conference website if you would like to preview them before the class.  View them here.
Anchor Park New Day Alaska Neighborhood BBQ
New Day Alaska is hosting a neighborhood BBQ in the Airport Heights area of Anchorage and are using the parking lot at Anchor Park UMC.  If you are in the Anchorage area, please plan on coming to enjoy good food and great fellowship!  It will be held on Thursday, May 29th from 5-7 PM.  For those of you attending pre-conference workshops, please stay and join the fun!
Missing Labyrinth
We are looking for a labyrinth painted on a large canvas that a confirmation group at the United Methodist Church of Chugiak did years ago.  It was made specifically for a United Methodist Women's event.  If this rings a bell for anyone or you know where it is, please contact the conference office.  Spring cleaning just might turn it up at your church or in someone's garage!
Job Opportunity Job Opening
First UMC in Fairbanks is looking for a Teen Ministry Director.  This is a year round part-time position that involves team leadership and enthusiasm for nurturing teenagers.  You can review the position here.
