         Happy New Year from all of us at Wood-N-Whimsies to all of you!  We hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
         I don't know about you but things around here have been eventful to say the least.   I think "Life" has decided to front load its twists and turns all at once (At least that's what I hope) so that the rest of the year can be awesome.
            As you know we travel to Georgia for Christmas so my boys can see each other and we can see the grand babies.  Just hours before we were ready to hit the road, we got the news that Tim's dad passed away.  We scrambled and juggled and got on the road behind schedule but determined to still have a holiday.   While in Georgia, back home in Missouri the flood gates opened!   The business only suffered minor damage that we were able to clean up in just a couple of days.   My youngest son, however, was not so lucky.  He lost just about every possession he owned, most of which were irreplaceable collectibles.   He took it all in stride and we got super lucky and found a great new place for him to live.   His new computer survived and we got him a new bed and couch. He said as a single young guy, he has a place to sleep, a computer and the internet, what more does he need!
           As if all that wasn't enough, we had to make a trip to the ER as Tim became ill.  He's been in the hospital since the 13th and may need surgery but we aren't sure yet.  He's doing better so we're just taking it a day at a time.  Pam has taken over the phones while I'm shuffling back and forth to the hospital.  If you have a technical question, she may have to take a message and it may take me an extra day to get back to you.   I thank you in advance for your understanding and patience. 
                
                     
Dink says " I don't know where my Daddie is but I've got my hat on and I'm ready to go find him if he doesn't come home soon!"


 
Tracey's Two Cents Worth
    Yet another postage increase....USPS has raised their rates AGAIN and by over 9%!  With all that's going on I missed the increase which was effective Jan 15th.   You'll actually begin to see it on orders placed beginning late night January 17th.    They are still less than the others but after the terrible job they did with getting packages to folks on time this holiday season...I don't know. You would think with fuel prices going down the money they are saving there could be used in lieu of rate increases.
    We continue to talk with other carriers on pricing and if at some point, we can get a better rate, we'll offer other options.

        White Powder Coated Pre-Cut Tubes for Monet and Bolt Action getting closer.    
        I'm going to try and get these tubes out on the site sometime this month.

Remember...if you see a PSI kit you'd like us to carry, drop me an email.   I keep track of the numbers of requests I get for kits and that's how I decide what to add to our regular stock.  If you need at least 5 of a kit, let me know, if it's available to dealers I may be able to save you some $ on it!
