     Happy New Year from all of us here at Wood-N-Whimsies!  As a new year begins we're excited to continue bringing you new products and helping you grow in your turning.  A new year tends to bring change and we have a new employee.  Curtis has decided to try something new and while we're sad to see him go, we are glad to welcome Andrew to our team!

    New Years generally brings vendor price increases, we will strive as we always have to keep our prices as low as we possibly can.
        Another thing the New Year brings is the COLD!  We've had many below average days this year and I'll be glad when those temps get back into the high 30s!  Fill those wood stoves in your shop and stay warm!    
      
TECH TALK
 
    As more and more of you begin to delve into pouring your own blanks....remember...if you're using stickers or printing out those favorite photos of the grand-babies you need to seal them before you cast in Resin.   If you don't seal them the Resin will eat away at the color in your stickers/photos and the result will not be pretty.  
    We have found that our Resin Spray works great.  Make sure you seal all the way to the end of the tube

   Since Curtis is gone, I'll be handling the majority of your phone orders for now.  As we are a working shop I'm not near the phone for my entire day, so please please please, if you need something or have a question, leave a message.  I do listen to the messages several times a day and 
will get back to you in a timely manner.
 I'm a night owl so I'm generally not down to the office until around 11:00am (Central Time).  If you call before 11:00am (Central Time) you'll get voice mail.   If you are calling with a technical question, please let me know in the message that you have a question, that way I can have Tim return the call to help you out.
WHAT'S NEW!
  
   I wasn't able to get those  additional new Inlay blanks out there for December but I've tried to make up for it in January.
Double Hearts, CPO, SCPO, MCPO, Army Chemical Corps., Autism Support are all the newest additions.

 



 We continue to add the newer PSI kits as we get requests and they become available to us so be sure to check out our What's New page often.


I do hope to be getting that page I talked about in a previous Newsletter together soon of all the items we have odds and ends of that are no longer carried at PSI.  Once I do get the page out there, it will have to be on a call basis as the quantities will be limited and it will be a first come first served bases for the items.   As soon as we get Andrew broken in we can start on that project.   

COMING SOON

      We will be getting more of our own Bolt Action kits in, probably in the next few months.  They will be the ones with the switchable clips.   We will also start to carry mechanisms for the Monet/Gatsby type kits since we've had so many requests to carry those as a regular item. 
      I'm also going to be offering boxes to match my Inlays.  I'm making some final design decisions on the offerings and will be adding those soon.
    
     You may have noticed that we've had to put Our Spectraply Solids out of stock.   The company is currently dealing with an overwhelming demand ,most likely due to the burning down of Rutland Plywood.  They have a several month backlog.   We'll keep you posted as we find out more about when our delivery will arrive.
