Merry Christmas to all. We wish all
Dink says,"Merry Christmas to everyone and please please please, keep your ears covered. With a mad bomber hat like mine you would not only be a fashion statement but snuggly warm too."
of our customers and their families the very best of holiday wishes and a great new year.
OK folks, here is our schedule for Christmas. We will be closed from December 21st until December 25th inclusive. We will reopen at 1:00 PM central time on December 26th. internet and phone orders will be processed on a first in first out basis and we hope to have everything shipped out and be back up to speed by December 30th. Curtis, Pam and I will do our very best to get caught up in a timely manner.
As for the orders with Inlay Blanks; PLEASE READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY. The last orders for inlay blanks going out before Christmas will be taken up until 10:00pm on December 19th. If you order Inlay Blanks after 10:00pm central time on December 19th, your order will not be mailed out until January 4th or after, they will go out on a first in first out basis. If you need inlay Blanks, PLEASE order them early.
Tracey and Ryan will be in Atlanta for Christmas visiting with little Madison but I will be here to take care of your supply needs and technical questions except during the days we are closed as listed above. Tracey will be reviewing Emails every day or so and will let me know  your concerns which I will address after our Christmas break.
If you were wondering why I can't make and send out your Inlay Blanks while she is gone---Well, Tracey will not let me near her laser machines let alone actually operate one.  She's a meanie.

Tracey's two cents worth: Please keep in mind that it is now the month of December and with December comes Christmas and the amount of packages the Postal Service handles is enormous compared to the rest of the year. Your order will take a few days longer to receive this month than any other month. Please keep this fact in mind when your package does not show up in the normal two to three days that you usually receive orders from us. Once your package is in the hands of USPS, It is out of our hands and we are at the mercy of our Postal system.

When we send out your order status to you, there is a USPS tracking number and link included with it. Click on the link and it will take you to USPS to find out where your package is in the shipping process.
And yes, it's true, Tim is not allowed to touch either of my laser machines. The exception is to do the monthly mechanical and electrical maintenance.  He is also not allowed to make inlays because he's not as fussy as I am about their fit.    I usually have my son Ryan do them when I am away but with the threat of loss of limbs if he does not do it "my way".  This time though, he'll be with me in Georgia meeting his neice for the first time!  Thanks in advance for your understanding.
What's New
Curtis has made a new Poly Pearl Blank which is Pink and Aqua (POLY48). The color combination is really nice. I must say, the boy has a knack with color combinations.
Pam has painted another pen blank design. She has  a Christmas Tree for this month. This is an absolutely wonderful blank and it has been hand painted and then sealed in polyester resin.
Tracey has begun the process of doing the Inlay Designs for the Bolt Action Pen Kit.
The one that is ready to ship now is the Marine Corps Emblem. It ha
s been added to the website. We have been asked to make the military Inlay Blanks for the Bolt Action kits many, many times over the last couple of years. Well folks, Here they come. Check back to the Inlay Page often to see which ones have been added. It takes a bit of tweaking to get everything right but we will have them all available very soon.
We are now carrying the Resin Spray Multi-Purpose Clear Gloss Finish/Sealer from Castin' Craft. It is an excellent sealer and high gloss finish. Ideal for covering imperfections on casted pieces and sealing off surface tackiness on polyester casting resin castings. Use on metal, wood, sea-shells, paper, dried flowers, etc.
Curtis has created a Copper Sparkle Pen Blank for the  Monet Pen Kit. The effect is mesmerizing. The way he did them, the blanks look like they are ten feet deep. These are currently in  a very limited supply. He plans to make more and other colors as this new trend takes off.
Curtis has also created a bottle stopper blank with a mustard seed imbedded in the clear resin top. These are pretty cool and are bound to be a must have.
Thank you for subscribing to our Newsletter. I apologize for their not being much here this month but we have been swamped for the last few weeks and it does not leave much time for creative thinking and complex problem solving.
Our Tech Talk section is usually driven by problems folks have with one thing or another or trouble trends/complaints we see with certain pen kits. Constructive feedback and product malfunctions have been almost non-existent this month.
Feedback from our customers is always welcome whether it is good or bad. If we don't know it's not right then we can't fix it for you.
January may not be a content packed Newletter due to being closed for a few days and being a couple team members short for a week and a half.  We should be back on track and have lots to talk about by February's Newsletter.

Sincerely,

Tim Nicholas
