Atrium Parent-Child Evening
Thursday, Feb. 28, 5:30-7:30 p.m. (open house style)
Parents are invited to enjoy the peaceful, reflective experience of the atrium. Come with your child to the atrium on Feb. 28, anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., and explore the beautiful atrium work together. Catechist Jana Widmeyer will be on hand to provide explanations as necessary, but this evening is intended for parents and children to work together.

RSVP Now!
March is coming. You'd be mad not to buy your Gala tickets by this Friday, March 1. If you've lost track of your registration card many are waiting for your use on the bulletin boards at school. Fill one out and secure your spot at the fun and fabulous Our House, Saturday, March 9 at The Redmoor.
Registering now is helpful to our organizers and saves you money - tickets go up to $55/person after March 1. So turn those responses in at school next week and get ready to celebrate Our House!
Oh, and did we mention that The Redmoor has four separate screens on which we can watch four separate basketball games while our DJ delights the dancers among us for our After Party?

Split the Pot Raffle Tickets
We will hold a split the pot raffle at the Gala on Saturday, March 9th. Today students are bringing home 25 raffle tickets each in their backpacks to try to sell by next Friday, March 8th. Tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. The student who sells the most raffle tickets by Friday, March 8th will win his or her choice of a new 2GB iPod shuffle thanks to SellYourMac.com or $50 cash. This is an excellent opportunity for friends, neighbors, co-workers and family to help support our school at the Gala. Additional raffle tickets are available in the office if you run out. Turn in proceeds, sold and unsold tickets to the office by Friday, March 8th. Winner of the raffle and the top-selling student will be announced at the Gala on March 9th. 82 Items Collected for IPM
We had another very generous collection for Inter Parish Ministry last week: GSCM students and families donated 82 cans of fruit to help stock the pantry's shelves. Thank you for your generosity.
The next collection will be Thursday, March 21st.

Macy's Arts Sampler at "The Barn" This Saturday
The Barn (aka the Woman's Art Club Cultural Center at 6980 Cambridge Ave. in Mariemont) is participating in the 2013 Macy's Arts Sampler (sponsored by ArtsWave) once again this year on March 2. On Sampler Day, they invite the community to watch live artist demonstrations in watercolor, oil painting, silversmithing, and even sculpture. You can watch, learn, and even try it yourself! Hands-on opportunities for kids include beading, sketching, painting, and ceramics (some may charge a small materials fee). It's free and family friendly fun for the whole community.
Concert to be Held at St. Cecilia Parish

PTO News:
Volunteerism at GSCM Volunteer sign ups are coming in May. Each family is asked to volunteer at one of the big fundraising events for GSCM, the Gala or the Walk-a-thon. In addition to these events there are many other things requiring volunteer help. We kindly ask that each family sign up for three additional events along with their Gala or Walk commitment. The PTO would like to introduce you to some of the volunteer opportunities at GSCM. This week, the focus is the PTO Fundraising Committee. Used Uniform Sale This Friday, March 1st from 3:00-3:30 in the basement of the St Joseph house (formerly the White house). We have a nice inventory of gently used uniform items, all at bargain basement prices! All skirts, jumpers, pants, sweaters, and sweat shirts will be $5.00. Shirts will be $3.00. Access the basement via the door nearest the Middle School building. The front door leads to After Care and we would like to avoid interfering with them. Goodsearch/GoodDining: We currently have 44 supporters using Goodsearch but we're aiming for 500. Help us reach our goal by downloading the Goodsearch app or toolbar. You can also sign up for GoodDining where up to 6% of your bill is donated to our school. Featured restaurants include Mac's and Teller's of Hyde Park. Yearbook To anyone who has taken pictures on a field trip or in a classroom, I would like to have copies of your photos for the yearbook. I'm especially looking for: preschool trip to Shaw Farm, Lower el field trips, pictures of MS as they departed or returned from Hico. Please send me your good pictures for yearbook to mary.rieke@gmail.com or see me to transfer to memory stick. I will return all memory sticks (or loan you one of mine.)

Financial Aid Application Process for 2013-14 School Year
The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori offers a financial aid program for current and incoming students. To apply for financial aid for the 2013-14 school year, parents must submit a financial aid application to Private School Aid Service by Friday, March 4. By mid-April, GSCM will notify parents of the amount of aid (if any) they will receive from the school. Financial aid applications are available from Lynette Rosati Shim in the school office and can be downloaded from our website, www.gscmontessori.org. Go to "Admissions/Financial Aid." If you have any questions, please contact Lynette Rosati Shim in the school office.
