Faces from the Trail

This young speedster is VCTF board member Eric McKay's son, James.  They spent some time on the Richmond Riverfront phase a few weeks ago and there it happened, his first successful attempt at riding a two-wheeler.  What better place to learn to ride a bike?

See you on the Trail!

Thank you sponsors, volunteers, riders and all our partners for your help in pulling off a great event!  Our rider satisfaction survey went out and we scored a 94% on the all-important question:  Would you recommend the ride to a friend?  While we're proud and excited we delivered a great event, until we score a perfect 100%, we will continue to read everyone's emails and survey comments on how we can improve.

Volunteer Spotlight
Boy Scout Troop 799 from Trinity United Methodist Church spent April 16 along the Virginia Capital Trail.  According to leader Joe Brown, in six hours of work, they logged 30 miles and filled four big trash bags.

On behalf of trail users and drivers along Rt. 5, THANK YOU for picking up all that litter! (Important note:  Analysis of the litter volunteers are picking up along the trail indicates most does not come from trail users.  Unless you've seen people toting six packs of beer, carpets, cigarettes, and packages of raw chicken on their bikes.)
