I'm a Cyclist!
Who says very few people self-identify as a cyclist? This summer, we discovered a loud and proud contingent right here in our region. Have a look at what our talented intern, Preston Slaughter, captured when she pointed her video camera at the people we met. Hope you enjoy this two-minute eye-opener.

Helmet Giveaway at the Jamestown Trailhead
This Sunday (8/17), members of the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists -- rockstars Mary Turnbull, Deana Sun, Susan Currey, and Kathryn Blue -- will be giving away (and fitting) helmets to anyone in need. They'll be at the trailhead across from the Jamestown Settlement from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Thank you, WAB, for making the trail experience safe for everyone!

More Great Support in James City County
Thank you to BikeBeat for donating a bike pump to Eco Discovery Park, as well as supplying them with Trek bikes for rentals. Located across from the Jamestown Settlement, Eco Discovery Park is a great spot to begin and end your trail experience. And thank you to Conte's Bike Shop of Williamsburg for supplying a bike pump to Chickahominy Park, another trail access point with parking and restrooms.
