Mega Future Soldier Event needs your help!!

Every six months, the Sarasota Company (Bradenton to Everglades City) conducts a Mega Future Soldier Event. We are looking for 200 people between Future Soldiers, Recruiters and families. This event is to promote camaraderie amongst Recruiters and Future Soldiers. Ft. Myers Recruiting Center will host this year's event on Sat., Sep. 7th from 9:30am to 2pm and will mainly be funded by the Sarasota Company and the Ft. Myers Recruiters. We are reaching out to the community for assistance in making this event a memorable one. It would be our honor if you could also participate in this event. We are looking for a suitable location to host this event in Cape Coral or Fort Myers and assistance to provide food and drinks for the participants. That sounds like a lot of money! That's exactly how much money came back into our community as a result of the volunteer income tax assistance program through the United Way last year. With the help of dedicated volunteers the VITA program provides free tax preparation for low to moderate income persons. Many of the people we serve are Spanish speaking and this year we want to help even more. Are you bilingual and interested in volunteering? Become a VITA volunteer! You can help a family get back the money they have earned and become more financially stable. VITA is a program offered through the United Way that helps low to moderate income persons by providing free tax preparation assistance. We are looking for bilingual volunteers to better serve our clients. No experience is necessary and volunteers are provided free training. Flexible hours are available January through mid April. Boys & Girls Club of Collier County Needs Volunteers

The BGCCC is a non-profit youth development organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the youth of our community. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. In addition to offering after school and summer programming, the Club has initiated a formalized mentoring program to provide our members the opportunity to interact one on one with caring adults on a regular basis. Volunteer mentors are needed as positive role models from the community. One-on-one mentoring sessions take place once a week for approximately one hour during 9 months (school year) to one year at our main campus located at 7500 Davis Boulevard, Naples. Training and mentoring activities provided to those who volunteer for participation. Mentoring sessions include topics such as academic achievement through homework assistance, exploring career goals, applying for colleges, solving life issues and improving self esteem.
