APRIL 2015 UPDATEHeart's Cry Children's Ministry

Heart's Cry Children's Ministry has been a busy place the last 6 weeks, and we have seen the Lord move in some powerful ways!

  • In late February, a leadership team from Southbridge Fellowship Church visited and provided some welcome encouragement, organizational insight, and planning for the Casa Providencia project.
  • A new Short-Term Missions Team process was unveiled and numerous churches are applying to bring volunteer work teams, thus reducing construction costs.
  • There has been an increase in exposure of Heart's Cry to US churches and a corresponding broadening of the base of prayer and financial partners.
  • A detailed 4-year Casa Providencia Project Plan has been developed and distributed to some large potential donors.
  • A friend visited in mid-March and provided assistance in technology plus instituted a ministry-wide calendar and also helped with a new Family Services web site.
  • A large ministry team from California visited Casa Providencia and prayed throughout the building and grounds.
  • A grant was submitted on behalf of Casa Providencia and is in the final stages pending approval, with the potential to receive up to $360,000 worth of equipment.

And the activity continues at a rapid pace here in Panama, as we move into a new month!  On April 10 and 11 from 8:30AM-5:00PM Heart's Cry Family Services will be hosting a two-day simulcast from Show HOPE entitled "Empowered to Connect."  This conference is intended to equip parents to bring hope and healing to adopted and foster children.  For more information, please contact HCCM at [email protected] Please pray that God would cause new skills to be learned, relationships strengthened, and healing to occur.

At Casa Providencia (the Heart's Cry special-needs orphanage under construction in Colon), roof replacement has been going on for a couple of weeks and plumbers are working on the piping infrastructure!   The roof replacement is a major step in preparing the building for necessary interior work during the upcoming rainy season.

Please pray that the contractors complete their work in a high-quality and timely manner and remain safe on the job; for the work to be completed quickly as the rainy season is approaching, that many volunteer work teams would come to help; and that God would continue to provide the funding for each step of the project.  A donor just contacted us yesterday, pledging to provide the funding sufficient enough to complete the roof.  Praise the Lord!
