Greetings!

I love Thanksgiving!  It's my favorite holiday.  So as I sit here in sunny (hot!) Panama, sipping apple cider and thinking of all the people and things I am thankful for, you came to mind.  We really wanted to send you a special note on this Thanksgiving weekend to say a giant THANK YOU!!! to you for all your love and support to Heart's Cry Children's Ministry over the years.  Thank you for standing with us and supporting Heart's Cry, either financially or through prayer, or however the Lord is leading you.  Your support has made a difference in the lives of children in Panama.  Thank you.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to share with you 3 HUGE BLESSING that I know will cause you to rejoice with us!  We have so much to be thankful for, but these are 3 new things to share... Please read on!
BLESSING 1: Providence House

We will do a big, official announcement in the days to come, but for now we wanted you all to know about the orphanage property that has come available.  A donor has purchased a wonderful, spacious building here in Panama and is donating the property to be used by Heart's Cry as a special needs orphanage... FOR FREE!  This is an absolute miracle.  I can't let another day go by without letting you all know of this amazing opportunity.  The details will be finalized on the property in a week or 2, but this specific property has literally been "in the works" for the past 1 1/2 years.  God has blown us away with His magnificence.  This property will be used to house not only orphans in Panama, but specifically to focus on those children here with special needs.  What a privilege to serve these forgotten ones, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I cannot wait to share more details with you, but for now please join us in praising Jesus for His provision of this "home for children that don't have mommy's or daddy's yet" (as Peter calls it), which we will officially name: Providence House.

BLESSING 2: Rosie
As many of you know, we have been foster parents of Rosemary for 1 year now.  It has been a long road for the past year, fighting sickness with her and seeing the Lord bring healing to her body.  But also one of the hardest things has been the waiting, not knowing if a family member would claim her or if she would be taken away at any moment for some other bureaucratic reason.  Well, God is good.  In His Sovereign Plan, our Father has chosen for us to be her family.  He spoke this in such a Divine, clear way, over a year ago.  And then just a few weeks ago we were officially assigned Rosie for adoption.  Praise the Lord.  We have had a few home visits and such, but Lord-willing within the next few months we will have the hearing date and legally be declared her family.  Praise the Lord!!  Thank you all for praying with us.  I cannot thank you enough.  God has heard all our prayers.  He has made a way, where there seemed to be no way.  Our precious little girl, whom we love with all our hearts, will soon have our last name.

BLESSING 3: Baby Boy
Well...  our 3rd blessing to share is... we are expecting a baby boy mid-April!  If any of you know our story, you know what a surprise and miracle this is.  We have lost several babies and suffered much through this issue.  Yet the Lord, in His Sovereign Plan, chose now to be the time for us to be pregnant and give birth.  We found out that we were expecting a baby 1 week after my brother died. Truly, nothing could have shocked us more.  After this hard year of losing my dad and then my brother, it was almost unbelievable for us to fathom.  My heart has been guarded, not wanting to even hope for this to happen.  Yet this precious child is getting bigger every day inside my body, and I am in awe of the Lord and cannot deny God's power.  The Father has shown us yet another miracle: this child, the timing, only the Lord could do something like this.  We had another check-up yesterday, and baby boy is healthy at 18 weeks and 5 days, and counting :)  God is glorious and worthy of all praise.

This newsletter will soon be followed by another, updating the progress of our work in Panama and with more details about Providence House. For now, we wanted to share with you all our 3 newest blessings.  I know that you will be rejoicing with us in this.

The Lord is with us all, never leaving us for a second.  And for that, we can be very thankful every single day of the year.  God the Father provides.

May God bless you and your family on this weekend of giving thanks,
Sincerely,

Misty and Matt Hedspeth
