To our many members and contributors who have made 2013 a banner year for John Jay Homestead! With your support, our visitor experience has been enhanced in the following ways: - The opening of the Carriage Barn Education and Visitor Center in May 2013
- New family programming including six new Discovery Centers and Play Days@Jay
- Expansion of our school programs to over 2800 students
- Expansion of the Farm Market from 33 to 41 vendors
- Enhanced recreational programming including the 1 ½ mile Jay Walking perimeter trail and the children's outdoor backpack programs
- New partnerships with local organizations including a tour of Homestead portraits in collaboration with Katonah Museum of Art's Eye to I exhibition
- Garden beautification- The Herb Society and the Rusticus, Bedford, and Hopp Ground garden clubs maintain exquisite gardens on site - this year the Rusticus Garden Club propagated and planted 17 heirloom fruit trees
