Make sure you stock up as they are not in the market every week! Did you try Wave Hill Bread's Caramelized Garlic Loaf last week? What could be better with a grilled flank steak? Their new pan loaves include Brioche (for gourmet French Toast) and Honey Whole Wheat. For dipping, try their JUST CRUST Chips...perfect with this week's Garlic Scape Hummus recipe or better yet your own homemade Salsa...made with JD Farms tasty tomatoes! There will be a variety of small format cheeses, including the tangy & cool Beltane Farm artisanal goat milk cheese, goats milk Feta, Nettle Meadow Kunik and Robiolas...slip them into a picnic basket, grab a loaf of bread, a bottle of wine and head for the shade of the Linden trees. Jnana Organics brings freshly made organic juices, Chia Puddings, as well as a variety of salads. Calling all coffee lovers and connoisseurs, pick up one of their Almond Mylks or Cashew Mylks...bring it over to Elina at Big Bang Coffee...and she will make you an awesome, out-of-this-world, Vegan Latte or Americano! Whitecliff Vineyards
Owners:
Michael & Yancey Migliore
Whitecliff is a family-owned vineyard and winery, planted and established by founders and current owners, Michael and Yancey Migliore. With one of the largest vineyards in the Hudson River region, and awards that include Best White Wine in Show (their 2009 Riesling beat 1,300 wines from all over the world) at the 2010 San Francisco International Wine Competition and more recently a Gold and a Silver medal for their Traminette and Mountain Laurel White, Whitecliff Vineyards is considered a pioneer in grape growing and fine wine production in NY State. The Winery works extensively with Cornell University's Viticulture and Enology Program on experimental growing and techniques to build the quality and recognition of winemaking in the Hudson Valley. Their wines are served at New York's Gramercy Tavern, and Peter Kelly's Xavier's.
Yancey and Michael Migliore are excited to be hosting the Bounty of the Hudson at Whitecliff Vineyard in Gardiner on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. Anyone with a taste for "local" is invited to join them! Bounty is the largest gathering of the year of Hudson Valley wineries. Over 20 regional wineries will be pouring their wines, a selection of local farms will be selling direct to the public and there will be live music both days. Tickets are $25 in advance, and are available online at gunkswine.com.
Coast to Coast Dog Treats
Owners: Linda & Jay Bloomer
Coast to Coast Dog Treats Inc. is a company based in Stormville, New York. They started their dog treat company because their West Highland White Terrier, Betty, had many allergies and there were not a lot of products on the market that they felt were safe and healthy for dogs. After much research they decided to make all of their dog treats by hand in small batches using only the finest human grade organic ingredients. They use Organic Brown Rice Flour and Organic Oat Flour in all of their treats so they are hypoallergenic and easily digestible. Their products contain No wheat, corn, soy, artificial colors, flavors or by-products.
