MILE MARKER #43: Reclaiming Covenant
I am not praying just for these followers. I am also praying for everyone else who will have faith because of what my followers will say about me. I want all of them to be one with each other, just as I am one with you and you are one with me. I also want them to be one with us. Then the people of this world will believe that you sent me. John 17:20-21
Since becoming Regional Minister I have been privileged to travel to the Congo in Africa, to Cuba and most recently to Israel-Palestine as mission experiences because as Disciples we are partners in ministry around the world. It is truly amazing and powerful to see the work being done on our behalf by Disciple brothers and sisters all around the world...READ MORE

On April 22-24, the Pacific Southwest Region hosted our first PHONATHON! Now for the good news... As of this writing, we have received 143 gifts and pledges for a total of $18,140! And this number is growing daily.
As I communicated last month, the purpose of PHONATHON 2013 was to raise financial support (our goal was $15,000), awareness and enthusiasm for two special causes: The PSW Regional Annual Fund Loch Leven Camp and Conference Center.
The other primary reason for hosting our first PHONATHON was to put a personal voice behind Regional stewardship! In addition to celebrating your extraordinary gifts and the life-giving support they will offer Loch Leven and other Regional ministries, I also want to celebrate the following...READ MORE

TWO CHAPMAN DISCIPLES AWARDED FULBRIGHTS
The prestigious international graduate grant has gone to two Disciples students at Chapman University, Erika Sanders of First Christian Church, Redding, CA and Cambria Findley-Grubb of First Christian Church, Fullerton, CA. Both are set to graduate in May, 2013. In all, Chapman students won four Fulbrights for 2013.
Sanders (pictured right) will spend the upcoming school year in Fulbright's English teaching program and she will be serving in Bulgaria, the country that she chose for her study abroad experience during her Chapman years.
Findley-Grubb (pictured left) will be in Halifax Nova Scotia at St Mary's University. Her research emphasis will be comparative impact of education policy on Native American populations, particularly researching Mi'kmaq tribe which straddles both the US and Canada.
