Moda Health is coming!

Excitement is building as we near May 6, the official launch of Moda Health.

We've been busy lately, telling everyone about our name change. In addition to telling you, we've also told our producer partners and members. The full transition will take at least a year. During this time, you may continue to see us and our materials refer to both ODS and Moda Health.

We know this change may mean additional work for you and your team. To help answer some of your immediate questions such as why we're changing our name, timelines, and what this means for you and your employees, we've created a quick reference guide.

Please spread the word about our new name to groups and subscribers to help your employees understand that our transformation is a reflection of how we'll serve them - and our entire community - better than ever.

We appreciate all of your help in making this transition a success. For more information, please contact your sales and services team representative directly.

We're changing our secure email system

To make sure we fulfill our promise to provide our customers with the best service, we are excited to announce that starting May 6 we will be changing to a more robust secure email system. To help us protect the sensitive health information we send you via email, we've selected Zix Corporation, the leader in email encryption services.

Along with ensuring our emails remain secure and that we continue to comply with HIPAA regulations, the new email system will provide additional enhancements and self-service features that allow you to:

  • Self-register
  • Email from your mobile devices
  • Change your username and password on your own
  • Get back in the system if you've been locked out
  • Send encrypted emails from other systems and platforms

Important:

The current system will not automatically roll over to the new application. This means that once the new system goes live, we will provide you with specific instructions via email on how to register on to the new system.

Once the new application launches, your emails will remain in the current system through May 31. On June 1, they will go away. As part of the transition process, we ask that you take some time to review, print, scan or save electronically any emails that are important to you. You can do this by logging on to the current ODS secure email system using your same username and password.

If you have questions about the new secure email system, please contact your sales and services team representative.

Moda Health challenges employees to step it up

Spring is in the air, which means it's time for us to kick off our annual Charity Challenge. This year's five-week event challenges our employees to improve their physical fitness and the financial fitness of their favorite nonprofit by recording the number of daily steps they take between April 22 and May 23.

Teams of six employees are formed to compete, earn points and raise money for selected charities like the Oregon Humane Society, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and Albertina Kerr. During the challenge, we also sponsor local walking events such as March for Babies, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and a Doggie Dash that employees can participate in to increase their step count. Both teams and individuals are recognized and rewarded after the event for their hard work and contributions.

We encourage you to create a similar program at your workplace that promotes your employees to be more active and helps out a great cause. And we have the promotional materials to help you get started. Just visit our physical activity health promotion campaign website today to view posters, table tents, flyers, brochures and email templates that you can customize to get your own healthy physical activity challenge off the ground and running.

Moda Health can help you better manage workplace stress

April is stress and resiliency month, and Moda Health wants to help you launch a campaign to help you build resilience programs to better manage stress in the workplace. We provide an array of customizable materials to help kick off your employee wellness programs.
