Hills Alive 2013!

For over 28 years now, our good and faithful Lord has provided a venue to share His Word, to bless His servants, to give a helping hand to the community, and to show His love to all who attend. How wonderful is our God!

This year, who are you most enthusiastic to see? Jeremy Camp?! SELAH?! Bebo Norman?! We have been incredibly blessed by the Lord's providence involving this year's lineup so far!

It's never too early to start thinking about how you can get involved in this year's festival! We are always in need of volunteers in numerous areas before, during, and after Hills Alive; in and outside of Memorial Park. Whatever your gift, there can be a place for you at Hills Alive 2013. We also treasure your heartfelt and earnest prayers over this festival; we thank you in advance for that!

You can get more information on the festival, the artists, supporting Hills Alive financially, volunteer opportunities, our sponsors and much more when you visit our website: www.klmp.com.

A Message from My Golden Valentine Coordinator, Jamie Knapp

Can you believe it's going on 5 years? I am honored to be a part of My Golden Valentine once again. For those of you who don't know, this outreach ministry was birthed from our sister station, WPFF in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. We took on the idea and through the hands and hearts of our listeners, area businesses and schools, we have turned this holiday around to not be about us. It's about those who have raised families, taught us values, made an impact and possibly, are now alone....the honorable elderly folks of our community.

These are people who are retired and often find themselves alone with extra time, thinking and reflecting on their lives and frequently find themselves depressed. For these people "home sweet home" is certainly a memory not forgotten. They need to know they matter, that they still have purpose. Obviously, each of us who breathe still have purpose. These folks are someone's children...but most of all God sees them as His children. They do belong and we want to remind them of this truth. Last year, God amazed us with an overflow of blessing...over 10,000 Valentines were brought into our station. So many put their true hearts into each heart that was handed out. We were overjoyed!

This year, when the holiday rolls around, I encourage you to think of what you can do to brighten someone else's day.

Bring in your Valentines no later than February 8th to bless our seniors again this year or call 605.342.6822 to volunteer with this blessed project.

What's Your Story For God's Glory?

We have a new feature on-the-air and also at klmp.com, and it is all about YOU and your story. We want your stories on how the Lord is moving and working in your life. These stories will remain anonymous and one will be read every Monday at 7:45am and placed on our website. We want the Truth in people's lives to inspire other listeners! Please email your testimonials to: katieg@klmp.com.

Excerpts from Dr. David Jeremiah's powerful book & study guide 31 Days to Happiness: Searching for Heaven on Earth

"Several times each year we are shocked at the hurtful things that happen to Godly families we know. This teenager, so active in the youth group, ran away; that child, raised in Sunday school, got into some trouble; this couple, pillars of the church, are getting a divorce. We hurt with them. We whisper, though we should not. But the wiser ones among us throw no stones; we may be living in glass houses of our own. We know that life's most perilous task may well be that of maintaining an emotionally and spiritually successful family."

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Matthew 22:37-39
