Big Thanks to those of you who completed our recent survey!

Your input is valuable in helping us evaluate and plan to best serve you and your family. We received some good suggestions, several of which we are already working to implement.

As promised, we put the email addresses from all completed surveys in a list randomizer to pick a winner of the Samsung Galaxy Tab3 and the winner is...

...Tonya D. from La Crosse!

The survey is still open if you would like to share your input. Click here to complete.

LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

The Children's Museum of La Crosse is excited to be the stewards for a Little Free Library on behalf of our neighbors and our community!

You may have seen the colorful library in our lobby. We could use some more books--do you have some to contribute?

The way it works is simple:

  • We (and you) stock the Little Free Library with a variety of books
  • You stop by and take whatever catches your fancy
  • You return and bring other books to contribute
  • Little Free Library books are always a gift - never for sale!

Our Little Free Library was built by Mike Jorgenson and painted by Michele Nauman family.

Little Free Library, a movement started by Todd Bol of Hudson & Rick Brooks of Madison in 2010, has grown to include little libraries in most states and dozens of countries. Little Free Library's mission is to:

  • Promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.
  • Foster a sense of community and connection as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations.
  • Build more than 2,510 libraries around the world (the number of "real" libraries built by Andrew Carnegie)!

Check out the LFL story at www.littlefreelibrary.org.

The Children's Museum of La Crosse is proud to be one of 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to military personnel and their families this summer (through September 1) as part of the National Endowment for the Arts Blue Star Families program. To receive this benefit at the Children's Museum, simply show your military identification at our admissions desk for free admission for up to 6 people in your family. Find other participating museums at http://arts.gov/national/blue-star-museums.

The Children's Museum of La Crosse also offers a year-round membership discount of $10 off any membership level for military personnel!

This fall, we will be "flip-flopping" some of our exhibits to make more efficient use of space and to make room on the main floor for future traveling exhibits. We hope to also add one or more new exhibits in the coming year.

Your donation of any amount will help with some of the expenses of this remodeling project.

Make a donation at the desk and write your name on a flip flop, return the form below with your gift, or click on the flip flop image at right to donate online. A paper flip flop with your name will be proudly displayed in the Museum to show your support. You may donate online, too, and we'll proudly put your name on a flip flop in the Museum (unless, of course, you tell us you don't want to be publicly recognized.)

THANK YOU!
