Preparation is the Key to a Stress-free Premium Audit |
Accurate and organized recordkeeping helps reduce your premium.
Premium audits are performed after the expiration of your workers' compensation policy term. The audit verifies that your premium was accurately calculated based on your payroll and business classification. Audit types vary by industry and include: on-site, by phone, online self-audits or forms by mail.
Before your policy expires, an auditor will contact you about which type of audit is requested, what business records are required, and schedule the audit date.
For a positive audit experience, remember two-way communication is important. Plan to be available during the audit to answer any questions the auditor may have. This also provides you an opportunity to review the auditor's findings (payroll totals, subcontractor costs, overtime, employee classifications, credit, etc.) before they leave your business.

L&L Auditing Services merges with US-Reports |
We have successfully partnered for many years with L&L Auditing Services to prepare workers' compensation payroll premium audits for our policyholders. L&L recently merged with US-Reports, a national provider of premium audits. We wanted to let you know that their communications will now read: L&L Auditing Services as a "division of US-Reports." In the future, L&L Auditing Services will be removed and the company will be known as US-Reports. |
