More details about our project in Cekal Village, Indonesia:

We teach homeowners, builders, engineers and government officials how to build disaster-resistant houses and schools. The skills we teach are permanent and the building materials are available locally. Our recommended modifications to commonly used house designs are small and low-cost. The changes we teach are widely adopted because they are simple, affordable and use familiar materials. This acceptance leads to permanent change in local construction practice.

Cekal Village residents will have the knowledge and materials they need to build earthquake-safe homes, now and in the future.
